Our life together has just begun, Oh! our little one...

Studied in books;
But never really understood;

The miracles of life;
Until the day arrives while speculations were rife;

Early morning, half asleep;
With rubbing eyes, I peep;

Wriggling in bed, seeing the two lines in red;
Reasons for smile were now hundred.

Jumping in joy, we were in a bliss,
We shared the Almighty’s blessings with a kiss.

We were over the moon;
But it was all too soon;

You decided to play hide-n-seek;
Probably contended to keep us on feet;

Devasted  we prayed and prayed;
We wished somebody’s listening and somebody cared.

Minutes seemed hours, hours seemed days,
Our those three dreaded days;

From dawn to dusk and dusk to dawn;
Time was holding still, not passing on;

We passed the span;
A tiny blip, in the scan;

Ecstatic but cautioned again;
Suspense for heart beats began again;

You became naughty once again;
Really extended our wait yet again;

But no effort ever goes vain;
Everything was worth all the pain.

Adrenaline rushed through;
Finally we hear the sounds of you;

Sense of great pride and responsibility comes in;
Flashes of our childhood comes charging;

Love and respect for our parents grows even more;
You made us understand them more;

Two-third has passed, one third to go;
All the thrills of parenthood we want to undergo;

Oh! Our Bundle of Joy;
You are the most wonderful toy;

Eager as we are, for the day to come;
No feeling is at par, for all the years to come;

Welcoming you in our humble abode;
Loving and tendering the best of globe;

WE WILL BE THE SAILS, YOU CAN RELY;
WE WILL BE YOUR WINDS, SO THAT YOU CAN FLY !!
